Atlas of Osteopathic Techniques 4th Edition PDF Book Description
The 4th edition of the Atlas of Osteopathic Techniques adds to the osteopathic arsenal of safe and effective manipulative treatments by adding and changing several techniques, better defining techniques in several chapters, and moving some techniques to chapters that better explain their principles.
The book has continued to show and explain these techniques in the most visually appealing way possible so that the photos match the text as closely as possible. But, again, the authors did their best to keep each technique on the same page or the page next to it when that wasn’t possible.
In this 4th edition, the authors have continued to change and expand the counterstrain and muscle energy chapters. They have also changed the principles and descriptions in the “Osteopathic Cranial Manipulative Medicine” (formerly “Osteopathy in the Cranial Field”) chapter to match the curriculum and terminology recommended by the Education Council on Osteopathic Principles (ECOP) of the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM).
For this updated 4th edition, the authors have added video callouts to different technique headings. These references make it easier for people using the text to find videos with moving pictures that go with the technique in the book. Also, several new videos with even more footage have been added to the list.
With this better way to refer to the videos, everyone who uses the book should be able to get more done and enjoy it more.
