Authors of the Medical Herbalism PDF
More than twenty-five years ago, David Hoffmann became a Fellow of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists in Britain. He has been a clinical phytotherapist for more than that time. He started working with herbs in Wales, then moved to Scotland and worked at the Findhorn community.
Since 1986, he has been working with herbs in California. For many years, an environmental and peace activist, he ran for parliament in the UK for the Green party in 1983. He is one of the founders and a former president of the American Herbalists Guild. He is also on the boards of the American Botanical Council and HerbalGram.
Hoffmann is the author of 17 books, including The Complete Illustrated Holistic Herbal, An Elders’ Herbal, and The Herbal Handbook. He teaches phytotherapy all over the English-speaking world and is a faculty member at the California School of Herbal Studies.
As a guest instructor, he works at Bastyr University, the California Institute of Integral Studies, the National College of Phytotherapy, the Rocky Mountain School of Botanical Studies, and other schools.
