First Aid Manual PDF (ACEP) is written by DK. The American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) promotes high-quality emergency care throughout the United States. Every year, more than 130 million people visit hospital emergency departments, seeking treatment for everything from minor illnesses and injuries to life-threatening disorders.
Emergency care is delivered along a continuum that begins with a bystander recognizing a problem and initiating treatment and progresses via the care provided by emergency medical services (EMS) workers to the care offered in hospital emergency rooms across the country.
Every citizen is afflicted by injury or disease at some point, either directly or indirectly. We all must recognize emergency medical events and have the minimum information and abilities required to seek appropriate aid and give primary treatment until that help arrives.
The purpose of this manual is to teach you these fundamental skills and to arm you with the knowledge you need to make a positive impact in the life of any ill or injured person to whom you assist. This manual describes what to do in a step-by-step way for common, mild, severe, and life-threatening circumstances you may encounter, using drawings and photographs to help you comprehend the problem at hand.
Although it is intended to equip you with a fundamental knowledge base, it is strongly recommended that you additionally complete a formal first aid course from a community organization that offers such training. Among these organizations are the
The American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, EMS agencies, and local hospitals are all on the scene. Also, it’s a good idea to practice your talents on a regular basis.

Pros and Cons
By far the best First Aid Manual available, and pretty current. Throughout the book, illustrations accompany the content. Furthermore, it is authored by the “American College of Emergency Physicians.” As an R.N. responsible for the readiness, we conducted an extensive study to identify a decent reference book on First Aid that a layperson would easily comprehend…that would cover the majority of medical emergencies. This book, in our humble opinion, is a fantastic fit.
Almost every circumstance requires the same actions: console the casualty and await the arrival of the ambulance.
