On of the best motivational books I ever read. I have not finished it yet but James Clear’s ideas and direction about how to charge yourself into better and more organized person is so clear and rational. It’s very easy to read. Very interesting facts about how our habits develop and work and how to change them. If you do want to change your bad habits and improve your good habits you need to work on yourself. I do recommend to buy Clear Habit Journal, it will really help you along the way.Dmitry Kravchenko (5/5)
I’ve been a fan of James Clear for some time and I think his work is amazing. I couldn’t be more happy to see his new book come out and I’ve been devouring this since I got it. I’ve read a lot on the topic of habits, including Charles Duhigg’s book. I think Atomic Habits delivers the best science and easiest practical applications for habit change that is available today.Scott Iardella, MPT, CSCS, CISSN (5/5)
I found this book to be a solid follow-up to Charles Duhigg’s Power of Habit, which James Clear references in this work. Clear builds upon Duhigg’s explanation of habits and explains ways to make it easier for people to both create good habits and break bad habits. His thesis is focused on the 4 laws that make good habits (make it obvious, make it attractive, make it easy, and make it satisfying) and the 4 laws that can break bad habits (make it invisible, make it unattractive, make it difficult, make it unsatisfying). His writing is clear and understandable. I like how there’s a concise summary at the end of each chapter and how Clear offers actionable advice. I do feel like some of the later chapters were just filler chapters and that the book could be leaner, but I can understand their placement in the book. Nothing in the book is truly revolutionary but it makes for a quick and actionable read.
