API Textbook of Medicine PDF has up-to-date information about the physiological, pathological, biological, and clinical aspects of diseases, with a lot of attention paid to their Indian features and information found in Indian data. It’s been 50 years since the API published the API Textbook of Medicine every few years.

Preface of API Textbook of Medicine PDF

Over 40 years ago, the Association of Physicians of India came out with a new book on medicine. Those who worked hard and had a lot of ideas at the time made this happen. The first edition of the pdf/book was written by a well-known doctor from all over, Dr. Rustam Jal Vakil. API Textbook of Medicine PDF was well-liked across the country. Eight more editions of the API Textbook of Medicine PDF have been made because of the response from Indian doctors. Every time there was a new edition, the goal was to make it better and better fit the changing world of medicine.

We haven’t made as much progress in a long time as we did in the past. This time, I’m happy to show you the pdf of the 11th edition of the API Textbook of Medicine, which is very well-known. Updated and better illustrated, the book has been reworked from top to bottom. There are about 2200 pages, with about 1588 figures and 1384 tables on each one, in the book. Almost 100 more tables and figures have been added to this edition than the last one. The number of figures has increased by a factor of two. This has been done so that the information is easy to understand, and the reading isn’t a big deal at all. The book has been broken up into 28 sections, each of which talks about a different type of medical condition.

There is a whole new section in a new area, ‘Clinical Approach to Key Manifestations. This section talks about the most common symptoms and signs and how to scientifically and systematically look at the problem to get a quick and cost-effective answer. People who used to write the book have asked to write new chapters so that the book is completely rewritten in most parts, and the old authors have entirely rewritten some chapters. A few chapters and figures have been taken from the 8th edition and put into this one. Thank you, Dr. Siddharth N Shah, for giving us this permission. On behalf of the 9th edition’s Editorial Board and myself, I want to thank you.

The amount of knowledge in medicine has increased to surpass the printed medicine book. So, the 11th edition of the pdf of API Textbook of Medicine tries to think about some of the changes in treatment over the last few years. Non-invasive Ventilation under Critical Care has been added to the list of new chapters that have been added. A new section called Pharmacotherapy of Cardiovascular Diseases has been added to the section on Cardiology. In the Section on Gastrointestinal Disorders, there is now a new chapter on the Gastrointestinal Symptoms that People with Other Types of Diseases Have.

Chapters about neuroimaging have been added to the Neurology section. Their authors have written chapters about Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Hyperkinetic Movement Disorders to cover them in more detail. In Rheumatology, Emergencies have been discussed in their chapter, which shows how people now think about how to treat and diagnose different rheumatic emergencies. The section on Medical Genetics has been completely reworked and up to date. Genetics is now better understood, and the human genome has been completely mapped out.

This has a lot of power to change how we do medicine. Vascular damage to the kidney and chronic dialysis have been discussed in separate chapters in the section on Nephrology because they have become more critical, and people can better understand them. Nanotechnology and NanoMedicine have been added to a whole new area of Clinical Pharmacology. The other sections have been thoroughly revised and updated to have the most up-to-date information and clinical thinking.

To make sure that all disorders are shown concisely and organized in a book this big, everyone has to work together. Everyone on my editorial team has helped make this happen thanks to their support, constructive criticism, and helpful advice. I’m grateful for all of their help!
I’m incredibly grateful to Prof. SK Sharma, who has helped me plan and guide this assignment even though he has a lot of other academic work. Dr. AK Agarwal and Dr. RK Singal have been close friends and have been very helpful in preparing this book, for which I am grateful.

In the 8th Edition of the Textbook of API Textbook of Medicine PDF, Dr. Milind Y. Nadkar and Dr. Sandhya A. Kamath gave helpful advice about avoiding some of the biggest problems when editing a book of this type they have done this before. People like Dr. Subhash Varma and Dr. Pritam Gupta were willing to help and give advice. As a result, I owe them a great deal of gratitude. This book was written by Dr. Siddharth N Shah, the Emeritus Editor, and he has helped whenever he could. His help has made me very grateful. The Sectional Editors were willing to help each other out as a group.

The Chapter Authors were also willing to help each other out and write their chapters on time. For all this, I want to thank them very much. Information technology has made it possible for a new website for the book “API Textbook of Medicine” to be set up. It’s a new feature that starts with this edition. People who buy the book will be able to access it online. Now and then, the website will be changed, and new information will be added.

When I was writing this book API Textbook of Medicine PDF for three years, my wife, son, and daughter were vast sources of strength and motivation. They were always patient and kind when they were writing this book. I want to write down how grateful I am for all their help. API’s Governing Board gave me the chance to do this big job for and on behalf of the group. I feel even more humble and grateful now that the job is done!
